Class was cancelled for tonight due to snow and I’m bored and drinking on the internet. Because that’s what you do when you’re a cool kid like me.

I’m going through and sourcing things finally. Does someone want to clear this one up for me? (read the bottom message first)

1. Really? Let’s examine this. Page 1 has 3 question posts, 12 picture posts. Page 2 has 6 questions posts, 9 picture posts. Page 3 has 4 questions posts, 9 picture posts. Page 4 has 8 question posts, 7 picture posts, so yes, you won that round.

Anyway, what I’m saying is that we really don’t. Yes, there are a lot of questions but we have a lot of followers who send in a lot of asks. We still have the requisite 7 posts of wtfery daily, sometimes even more if we feel there are too many questions, because we’ll bump a picture out of the queue to make up for it. The questions don’t take the pictures’ place. Adding to that we try to answer some questions with gifs so at least there’s something to look at for people who have no interest in the text.

The problem comes in when we start answering questions, because that’s usually a green light to followers that we’re on answering them so they send more in, and we’re usually in a question answering mood during these times so we answer more. It snowballs. But we have already seen the problem and that’s why we try to answer the questions in as large batches as possible. There’s really nothing more we can do about it.

2. Ray here. My easy answer would be either Shintaro Kago’s “Lord of the Ring” or Junji Ito’s “Glyceride”. Both have made me physically nauseous even though I usually love everything else by those authors.

There’s only so much chance of coincidence, and if a picture is still circling tumblr while it’s sitting in our inbox we’re not going to believe that you just came across it at random. If you want us to reblog something, send a link and we’ll credit you as the submitter. If you just save and submit the picture we’re instead going to reblog the original poster from now on.

An addendum: Don’t hotlink images either. You should know better than that.

Please don’t submit something you found on tumblr like you found it yourself, especially if it’s still floating around. Not two seconds after I queue a submission do I find the same exact image with 300+ notes by just scrolling through my dash. It’s not cute.

I finally got electricity back! I’m working through my ask box now.

I’m gonna try and covertly answer messages that are gathering in my askbox while I’m here at school. So I apologize for the influx of text posts. My area is fucked for electricity. My town and the majority of the towns surrounding me are completely wiped out so I’m going to slow the queue up to five posts a day. Be patient with me people.
